Russell seemed ok TBH, he didn't seem to tell others what to do or impose his beliefs, he was probably in it for the money but I also think he probably believed all the stuff he taught. As others have said it was Rutherford and Franz that turned the religion into the high control cult that it is today.

we were having a wonderful christmas until some relatives came to see us.

we put away the tree and everything so they wouldnt b stumbled.

i swear they came to see if we were doing anything non jw.

i met a jw who said he hated driving to the kh because satan always changed the traffic lights to red so that he'd be late.

this is so absurd, showing how paranoid some of them are.

satan always made me late too, it was nothing to do with trying to work a full time job and not wanting to go to the boring brainwashing sessions or anything...
